SOME HELPFUL HINTS.

When you´re going to move - Every thing needs to be MOVED- So ………. Why not start Packing!

Our Houses are our homes, because of the things in our home that reflect our personalities. However, when a purchaser visits your home, with the intent of purchasing - you want them to move in mentally. If they are distracted, by your homely goods, they loose their ability to feel “At Home”.

  1. • Say good by to the fridge magnets they clutter the kitchen.
  2. • Rule of Thumb - : If you haven´t used it in the past three months – Pack It
  3. • Photos - : restrict the number of Family Photos Again – A distraction
  4. • Consider a pest inspection – so there are no ugly surprises at the end when you’ve had enough and are ready to move on
  5. • Colour - : Put some colour greeting at the front door. Pots and Pansy/Petunias or some little nook near the front entrance.
  6. • Clean out the gutters. DO NOT have grass growing out of them.
  7. • Light - : Let the light in, homes are far more appealing to the majority of people when their light and airy, so open up the windows and curtains and let a little ray of sunshine into your home.
  8. • Open Homes are so more enjoyable, in homes that welcome you with the aroma of home cooking. JUST dampen a loaf of bread and put it in the oven before the open home, the fresh baked bread aroma will add a dimension to your home – no one will resist.
  9. • Oil door hinges and especially the door locks. Replace faulty locks
  10. • Don’t hide things in cupboards, buyers look everywhere.
  11. • Get rid of any mould & paint the front door if it looks drab.
  12. • Make sure there are no Dog/animal odours - A real turn off.
  13. • Fresh towels in the bathroom and a small vase of flowers – most women can be turned off a home - if the Bathroom, Toilet and Kitchen are dirty and unappealing.
  14. • Clean up the BBQ area - De-cobweb the outside of the home – put away bikes and toys on the verandah.
  15. • Keep the Oven and griller clean at all times and put some fresh fruit in a bowl on the bench top, make sure the garbage is taken out every day before you leave for work.
  16. • Be ruthless in the Garage.
  17. • Keep your home warm in winter and cool in summer.
